C-FCTA (cn 039) This ex-Air Nova bird never did wear the new colors of Air Canada Jazz. It left the fleet soon after this photo and flew for Freedom Airlines (as N805LR) as a Delta Connection carrier, and was last reported stored as of March 2008. |

N3703G / 44-83546 (cn 32187) This B-17 is painted to look like the original Memphis Belle and was to be towed to a viewing spot near Brookpark Road to help promote the re-opening of the 100th Bomb Group restaurant adjacent to the field. When the aircraft and tug reached the position where it was to be on display, it was determined that the ground was too soft and the promotion was called off. The aircraft did stay here for a few days anyway, and here is a picture of the tail gunner position as it is parked outside of the Continental maintenance hangar on a day when I was lucky enough to visit . N3703G / 44-83546 (cn 32187) Just about to land on 24L, this B-17 is painted to look like the original Memphis Belle and was to be towed to a viewing spot to help promote the re-opening of the 100th Bomb Group restaurant adjacent to the field. Upon attempting to do this, there were some problems with getting stuck in the mud near Brookpark Rd., and the promotion was called off. April 28, 2005 |
