	N686BR (cn 7715) Backlighting kept me away from these photos for a long time, but their relative rarity has changed my mind about how they look. Although unsuccessful, I admired Independence Air's spunk and miss seeing them around.

	N374DL (cn 23521) This 737 was delivered to Western Airlines as N347WA before joining Delta as N374DL. Upon retirement from Delta and a period of storage at Victorville, it went on to fly with Mexican carrier Nova Air as XA-NOV, but has since met the cutters torch at Mojave.

	N853UA (cn 1688) Heading for the B concourse back in 2004, this United A319 never wore the blue/white United scheme, transitioning directly from the "stealth" scheme seen here to the new CO/UA colors it wears today.

	N265AV (cn 427) This USA 3000 Airbus was unusual in that it was the only one I know of that did not have a white leading edge to the vertical stabilizer. Pictured here in 2004, this is the plane that also wore the Miami Vice/Jan Hammer colors for a time, and can now be found flying for Rossiya as EI-DZR. USA 3000's clock is currently ticking down as they are in the process of closing shop, with only five aircraft remaining out of a one time fleet of twelve (plus two on lease from Thomas Cook).

	N742CC (cn SH3742) Milwaukee based Air Cargo Carriers is a bit of a Shorts specialist and this is one of its varied fleet of the boxy birds. This example used to fly for CCAir as USAirways Express and as a FedEx Feeder as evidenced by its remaining paint scheme.

	N17175 (cn 7175) Now painted in the new United livery, this CRJ stopped by in 2004 wearing Mesa's house colors. In the distance is another vanished sight...a Mesaba RJ-85, all of which have since been retired from the fleet. Note the unfinished 100th Bomb Group restaurant in the distance as well.
