| N68048 (cn 47802) Continental DC-10 just about to touch down in MIA back in 1978......This aircraft has a interesting history..Built in 1973 it was delivered to Continental as "Employee Owner Ship One"..Then it was leased back to McDonnell Douglas,and in 1981 this aircraft was testbed for winglets on the "new" MD-11 they were going to build....It was flying for CO again in Sep 1981 and flew until June1993 when it was WFU and stored...Was converted into a MD-10 in 1997 for FedEx and scrapped in 2002 | |||
