I was the same way- I had some Air Baron brochures and such that I got rid of- now I would probably pay dearly on e-bay for the same thing. Somebody out there had to take pictures of the Air Barons at Burke- |

I remember watching the Barons as a kid (I was 13 in 1974) and being disappointed that they weren't the Blue Angels. I would think differently now! (I realize this wasn't one of them, but the topic came up!) |

Great picture! Along with the F-4, "Scooter" was my favorite USN/Marine plane back in the day! Thanks for sharing |

The Air Barons were from NRS VA-725 operating out of NAS Glenview (Chicago). They performed at the CLE NAS in 1971, but I cannot find any pictures of them there. See this link for more including pics -http://aerobaticteams.net/US_Navy_Past_Teams.html Hoping somebody out there will post or contact me if they have old pics of the CLE NAS- so much neat stuff is lying around undiscovered out there! |

Is this one of the Air Barons display team's aircraft? They flew A-4's as part of USNR and came to Cleveland around that time. I can't remember if they had special paint jobs or not. Nice pic of the Skyhawk by the way! |
