When we talk about the "good old days" of the Cleveland Air Show, this was for sure one of the better ones. These were the military attractions that year: *Thunderbirds in their T-38's, *Golden Knights, *US Navy F-14 Tomcat Demo *US Air Force F-15 Eagle Demo *US Marine Corps AV-8A Harrier Demo *US Air Force B-52 Stratofortress Flyby *US Air Force SR-71 Blackbird Flyby *Royal Air Force Nimrod Flyby *Royal Air Force Vulcan Flyby I miss those days! This was two years before I purchased my first 35mm camera, so I have no photo documentation of that show- hopefully others do, and will share them on Opshots! |

If I recall correctly, there was also one at the 1978 airshow, and both shows also had Nimrods as well. I do believe there was a flying demonstration as well. |
