N973NA (cn 065) Parked in typical Puerto Rican sunshine, this pair of ATR's sits on the ramp ten days after Hurricane Georges passed through leaving its mark on the normally beefy treeline in the distance. The majority of the major roads on the island were clear, but most of the island was still without electricity and fresh water. Cleanup and repairs were done at a remarkable pace, and we saw major improvements just during the time we were there. September 31, 1998

N153JR / N94CF (cn 117) Just ten days after Hurricane Georges tore up the Caribbean, we visited San Juan Puerto Rico and were greeted at the airport by many signs of damage, including this Airport Management Group hangar that lost most of its roof and its back wall causing this see-through effect. Even so, Convairs N153JR and N94CF (cn 394) of Four Star Air Cargo inhabit the space, and it would almost appear to be business as usual. September 31, 1998

N153JR / N94CF (cn 117) Pictured shortly after Hurricane Georges left its mark on the island, this piston Convair is still flying today with Jet One Express. Also parked inside the hangar is Convair N94CF (msn 394) which is now parked and forgotten in Santo Domingo. 1998
