Hello,

With the big addition of  low cost carriers from Hopkins what will happen to CAK? I think that most CLE area passengers that came to CAK in the past due to lower fares will be drying up. In addition many former Akron area passengers will head to CLE due to lower fares and many more flights in many directions.   In total I think that in 2 years Akron flights (seats) will be cut as much as 50%.  Delta will cut capacity to ATL and S West will be dropping flights to  DCA, BOS and many Florida flights due to declining passenger counts.

What do you think?

CAK boardings are down by 10% for the first ten months of 2014 (711,590 in 2013 vs 639,823 in 2014).

Looking by month, I can't find any variation in CAK's numbers that I can attribute to CLE's downs (UA) and ups (everybody else).

As I indicated 4 months ago in my last post--Cak is on a major downslide

with major drop of 60% of SW service.   This is really good news in a way as it will help Cle.  It is important to have a strong

major airport for NortheastOhio

Your January predictions were accurate.  CMH seems to be the direct beneficiary of the cuts rather than CLE.
