Indeed. We had Tornado Sirens going off in Garfield Heights most of the evening. Funnel cloud spotted by 480 and 77 interchange. We just had another cell move through with nice sized hail a few minutes ago. The first shot below shows the storm that just moved through my area a couple minutes ago. The earlier storm was much worse though.

The second shot shows the line through Ohio right now. It appears to be weakening some.

It's been pretty benign here along the lakeshore, so far.  Very little thunder and lightning, and only about 20 minutes where I had to close my windows for the rain.  They are all open at the moment, but I'm ready to run if I need to!

I was in the middle of giving a quiz when I heard that train-like noise at West 130th and Snow.  First it just sounded like the air conditioning ramped up, but then I heard the hail and looked out the window to see an entire tree bent over.  Some of my students started looking out the window at about the same time.  I quickly looked up Weather Underground and saw the tornado warning, so I evacuated my class - in the middle of the quiz, no less - from the second to the first floor hallway.

We never lost power and I didn't see any damage on my way home (along I-480 and Rt. 43)...  No problems at home, either.  Feeling very lucky tonight.

YIKES!  I would hate to hear storm sirens in my neighborhood...I don't even think we have them downtown.  Glad it all turned out okay for you!
