Looking for some arrival info somewhere.  I wonder what he'll be flying in?  A TU-154 would sure float my boat!!

I think you might be in luck with the TU-154.  I probably don't have the same access to sources as you do, but I've been searching for news photos on the internet regarding his recent travels and I have found several (one less than a month old) of him disembarking the TU-154; unfortunately, I can't find one of him with his plane in Washington on this current trip.  Wikipedia states (take it for what you will) that the Polish government operated 2 TU-154's but after the April, 2010 crash of one of these, they are leasing an  ERJ-170 reg. SP-LIG from LOT.  I doubt he'd cross the pond on an Embraer, so I'm gonna say look for the TU-154!  I sure hope somebody gets it!

Registration of the current operating Polish Air Force TU-154: 102 (cn 90A862)

Also has been spotted on a Yak 40, although I am not sure the range of that.

If at first you don't succeed, skydiving is not for you.

Looking around, I found an article which said that the probably cause of the Polish presidents plane crash was that all three engines had failed.  Sounds a lot like the recent 154 crash...  I would be surprised if a president even of the poorest country would still fly around in one of these death machines (sorry Chuck).  But we shall see.

I thought the accident was caused by pilot error landing in thick fog.  Sounds more believable than a triple engine failure.

I tried to find the article again, but can't.  You're probably right, either I read a bad report or just mixed the two up...

Well, it appears he went commercial...he flew ExpressJet out of Dulles!!

So much for something fancy bringing him!  I bet his "good" plane's parked at IAD...

And no worries, Michi...I know you hate my favorite plane! 🙂
