UA using RJ's to IAH and EWR

I just noticed that UA has E170's in the schedule for EWR and IAH flying this summer, it may be because of the retirement of the 737-500 but the last thing CLE needs is more RJ's!Frown

Have you ever flown an E170? They are not a bad ride at all. First class, economy plus, regular size luggage bins, and comfy 2x2 seating in coach. It's a HUGE step up from an ERJ145 and CRJ's (even the newer ones with 1st class).

I can't remember the exact terms, but the new scope clause of the pilots' contract permits some modest number of hub-to-hub RJ flights. I want to say 7% but I'm not sure.
