Thanks for that wrench...I often wondered how much protection that would really offer. Ice/FOD protection makes so much more sense! |

The reinforced panel that you are referring to is for ice protection , both impact from the blades shedding ice and acoustically from the noise of the ice impacting the fuselage. It will not protect if a blade were to separate. |

Nice shot. If a prop were to fail in that direction would that "reinforcement" really make a difference? Keep em' coming Chuck, you've been putting up some good stuff. |
