N21129 (cn 145703) This EMB is landing at CLE with all the window shades down on the starboard side save one. I guarantee you if I was on that plane, my shade would be up- regardless of heat, light or crew orders!

On one Continental flight, We were actually told to lower the shades while landing. (I did not, and remebered what a strange request that was) It was likewise on an ERJ, and that was the only time I ever heard that request in flight. Many times they ask for the shades to be down while disembarking to keep the sun out. Just seemed strange to see all the shades down save one on this one.

Wow, they can really make you put the shades all the way down like that on landing now?..Can you get in trouble if you dont listen?..That would kinda creepy and disorienting not knowing whats going on outside as the plane approaches the ground, not to mention missing all the great scenery.

Same here...I love my windows. Now, I'll be polite, but I still want to see. I seem to recall a rule that during takeoff and landing all windows in the emergency exits are to remain open...has that changed since I was a flight attendant?
