N1065T (cn 45779) Heres a TWA DC-9-15 I took from the old observation deck above concourse B back in Feb 1976....In its old colors ,this short DC-9 flew into CLE a couple times a day.....You can see the original single level A concourse in the background with other interesting aircraft at the gates..............This aircraft went on to Midway Airlines and wore all three of their color schemes

Thanks for the nice comments :-)....Notice the wall from the bagroom area still seems to be in the same place 35 years later,crazy..I believe the United 727 was parked there just from a lack of gate space on the C concourse.Ide seen it there before too! With United so big here , It wasnt unusal to see a half dozen United planes at their hanger also......10 aircraft in the photo

Wonderful shot that brings back great memories. Love the AA 707 and Heron, too. I was also wondering about United at the North Concourse (A now), as the South Concourse (C now) had been open for about 7 years or so by then. And yes, international arrivals were at the end of B back then, too. Maybe a charter?

What a shot!
I think Int'l flights still arrived at the end of the B concourse back then.

Wow. This is a nice little piece of a aviation era that was but will never be again. Nice work George.

Wowzer! United 727's at the hangar AND on the concourse, American 707's, an Allegheny BAC-111 and a Fischer Bros. Heron...how cool is that? Maybe someone out there knows this: Why is the UA 727 on the A concourse? Was C undergoing remodeling, or maybe this was international?
