N29375 (cn 6000) I read an ad for this airplane in Trade-A-Plane magazine and was able to locate it here. This is the only single-engine monoplane that the Waco company ever built (the other monoplanes they built were the CG-4 glider and the XPG which was a CG-4 with twin engines). It was designed to compete for a contract from the USAAF for a new primary trainer but when the Waco company got a large order for the UPF-7 biplane, they halted production and only built this one. I'd like to thank the volunteer airport attendant, Martin, for allowing my dad and I into their hangar to see this very rare bird.
