| Unknown (cn Unknown) A Sikorsky VH-60N White Hawk and two USMC Sikorsky VH-3D Sea King's from Marine Helicopter Squadron One (HMX-1) pass by the Washington Monument on approach to the south lawn of the White House to pick up the POTUS. The center Sea King landed on the South Lawn while the other two circled overhead. Luckily, I had time to run back to my car and grab my zoom lens for the following shots. HMX-1 (Nighthawks) Squadron is based at Marine Corps Air Facility Quantico, VA. Funny enough, it was nearly 10-years ago when I was in D.C. and was able to catch similar shots from the same location (17th Street SW). | |||
