| N831RP / N862RW (cn 145663) **Best viewed at 1152 size.** Shuttlecraft flight 6448 from Atlanta sits in the snow off the departure end of runway 28 in this picture of Chautauqua E-135 N831RP heading for the de-icing pad. The E-170 was landing in a lake-effect snow squall and didn't stop until it ran off the end of the runway, down a small slope and through the perimeter fence. No one was injured in the incident, and the aircraft was repaired and returned to service. | |||

| N862RW (cn 17000098) Photo taken minutes after this E170 of Shuttle America (Republic Holdings) overran the runway during a heavy lake effect snow squall, that had only moments before this photo completely stopped. Of the 70 passengers and four crew aboard, only two minor injuries were reported. In this photo, the passengers and crew are still on board the aircraft, and you can see the perimeter fence draped over the forward section as it sits nearly on the entrance road to NASA Glenn. To the right of the plane you can see the ladder section of one of the rescue trucks. February 18, 2007 | |||
