	89-9102 (cn 382-5217) “Damned if you do, Damned if you don’t”. Look closely at the bottom of the cargo door. Our Pilot had to abort his takeoff due to a flock of geese spotted near the departure end of the runway. Not a good feeling when crammed in the back with the cargo netting being stretched to the limits.

	89-9102 (cn 382-5217) The very first cargo ever loaded at Continental's current freight house was a relief shipment for victims of Hurricane Andrew on this Youngstown Air National Guard C-130. The shipment was sponsored by NewsChannel 5 and consisted of potable water as well as other necessities.

	89-9102 (cn 382-5217) Crews from Continental Airlines and the Youngstown Air National Guard pose for a photo op during the loading of this aircraft with relief supplies for victims of Hurricane Andrew which devastated south Florida in 1992. Channel 5 news helped sponsor the donations drive and reporters and cameras from the station were present too. (Yours truly is in the bottom row behind the lady in the black skirt!)

	89-9102 (cn 382-5217) (Best at 1152.) With the Channel 5 news crew on hand, this Youngstown ANG C-130 arrives to pick up supplies for the Hurricane Andrew relief effort back in August 1992. This was the first use of Continental's newly expanded cargo facility at Hopkins airport, and I was privileged to be part of the crew that helped load it.

	89-9102 / 99102 (cn 382-5217) A C-130H from the 910th Airlift Wing demonstrates an air drop from about 500 feet. The four pallets dropped landed right on their mark across the airfield in view of the spectators.
