United Makes New First and Business Class Confusing…We Make It Clear – Conde Nast Traveler

If you’re lucky enough to be flying with the fancy people in a premium cabin on United, get ready for some confusion. United has changed the names of its cabins, and it’s enough to make your head spin—there are different names for the exact same thing. Seriously. Let’s break it down.

As most of us know, there’s a domestic version of the premium cabin, which is really just a slightly wider seat with a little more legroom. Then there’s the international version, with fancy beds, amenity kits stocked with Murad, and multicourse meals. United has decided that these experiences are so special that they all need different names. Let’s start with the domestic version.
