| 44-69858 (cn 44-69858) With only a few months until the end of WW2, this US Army Air Force B-29 made an apperance at the Fisher B-29 Bomber Plant No 2 Open House at Cleveland Airport on 5/20/45. The Fisher plant, now the IX Center and also known as the tank plant, made control surfaces and engine nacelles for the B-29. Here is something neat- I purchased this photo for my collection at the IX Center, only a couple hundred feet from where the B-29 is parked in the photo! | |||
