| CF-IMK / 85597 (cn 85597) 602 was a former ex-RCN a/c, it was later converted to a water bomber for Conair Aviation ltd from 1969 to 1977. From my memory, there where 12 Avengers that day on the flight-line at Uplands Airport ( present day MacDonald -Carter Airport). IMK was in the process of pre-flight checks, short time later all 12 Avengers in flights of 4, took off with brief intervals of time between flights. It was a great sight and sound to watch them take off I wish I had better camera at the time. | |||
